Miscreants Vandalize Historic Hubballi Girani Chawl School Compound Wall
Hubballi, Express News: Miscreants broke a section of the compound wall of a government school located in Girani Chawl on Monday night. The school, which serves classes 1 to 5 and has 22 students, has a history of over 100 years.
The motive behind the destruction of the compound wall is not yet known, but it is believed to be part of a conspiracy to seize the school’s land. MLA Mahesh Tenginkai visited the school and assured that all possible assistance would be provided to protect this century-old institution.
Former MLA Veerabhadrappa Halaharvi, an alumnus of the school, demanded severe punishment for the individuals responsible for the damage. Sources indicate that a classroom also sustained damage due to the breach, and officials from the education department have stated that the rebuilding of the damaged compound wall will begin immediately.
A case has been registered by the education department in connection with the incident with the Suburban police, according to sources.
